ABOUT
Dr. Veni graduated with a medical degree from college in India and pursued her higher specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology while working in the Rotunda Hospital, the National Maternity Hospital and the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin.
While she was working in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda she was a lecturer for the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.
Prior to her current appointment in St Luke’s General Hospital, she held a locum consultant post in The National Maternity Hospital and a permanent position in South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel.
Dr. Veni is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecologists, London, UK (FRCOG) and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (FRCPI).
She has a Diploma in Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound (Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists/Royal College of Radiologists UK) and is an accredited Colposcopist; in addition she has also acquired a Diploma in Management for Medical Doctors from the Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin. Dr. Veni's training has exposed her to a wide range of experiences in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology and she has special proficiency in Obstetric and Transvaginal Ultrasound, managing early pregnancy complications and high-risk pregnancies.
Dr. Veni was awarded RCSI - Consultant Clinical Teaching Award in 2022.
